Broc is always this excited when I come home from work.

Like to play fetch in different areas. This is to keep him challenged and to keep him from getting bored of the same old same old every day.

Noticed Broc walking out of the house with my dumbbell in his mouth. He just wanted to play keep away. 11 months old and this strong, Dang.

Walking home from work, 8.2 miles, about low 40s degrees. New smells, sights and sounds I reassured him along the way and gave him kibble. For his first time he did good.

Kissel Park in Auburn, Alabama. Nice little walking trail and dog park present. It’s fresh air in the Fall and Winter are the best times to take a stroll.

Past 4 months I’ve been feeding Broc “Crave” since he is very active. Great muscle tone and shiny coat. He loves it and I love the results.

It’s easy to find a ball on flat ground at the park. Upping the ante to keep it challenging for Broc. Here he has to use his nose to find the ball uphill, downhill or in brush.

Even in the low 50 degrees , he still works himself up for a need of a cool down.

New field, taller grass, less distractions, here Broc is more focused.

Broc is good at finding water to cool off in while training in this hot weather.

Working on his retrieving commands and noticed he needed a break. So, I just let him be.

After hiking at Chewacla State Park, AL; cooled off first and then just had fun again.

After a little hike, he found some water to cool off in.

This open field is challenging to train Broc cause all of the deer tracks that are around. So, I just keep it informal and fun for him.

He’s only 8 months now and time is just flying by so fast.

Boat dock on the lake, Broc is a little unsure cause it's not stable like land. But, new environments will build his confidence.

A drizzling afternoon on a quiet road. Daily training, Broc is getting better.

Hot day today. Off to the splash pad to cool down.

Broc loves to fetch. So, I made it more challenging for him.

“Come & Sit” Puppy training with outside distractions is more challenging.

“Sit & Stay” Puppy training outside. He does great inside, but outside is the next step forward.

Eyes closed or open, he’s goofy at times.

He loves road trips. Especially with the window cracked open.

Lots of rain in a few days left area a little flooded.

Just having fun playing in the water. At 4 months, he’s doing a great job.

Swimming lessons again but he got me by surprise when he just dove in. Yep, got teary eye on this special moment.

Broc comes up with new ways to keep our walks together fun and interesting. But, on the way back training begins; whistle drills and learning to heel.

Out walking and Broc caught the turtle’s scent. He sniffed forward and back till he met face to face with the turtle. Guess he thought it was a rock till the turtle moved.

Snake skin shed: Broc was cautious sniffing this skin. Down the path the hairs on back of his neck stood as he looked onto the tall grass. Kept him near me and called it a day.

We started off close then moved a little further out. Had to end in a good note so I threw it close for Broc.

Ears are flapping away as he comes back.

Just sitting by his ducky while we eat our pizza at Picasso’s Pizzaria. He had a bowl of water and kibbles but he smelled the pizza.

Nice quiet area for a walk. Working on whistle drills. One whistle is to “STOP” and to look at me. Two whistles is to “COME” back to me.

Coming up with new games on the fly.

Road trip to Bass Pro Shop, pet friendly, buying training gear.

At Petco just having fun ridding in a buggy buying some new stuff.

Broc’s favorite store is PetSmart. When I’m not looking, he crawls under the shelves and goes sniffing.

Broc has pointed briefly before. But, today he held it long enough for me to fumble my phone out of my pocket and get a pic.

Out for an evening walk as the sun starts to set and some sound catches his attention.

Before/After the walk: Owning a Labmaraner, your car may get a little wet and may acquire a distinct smell.

Out for a walk in the rain, working on recalls. Different area and with little rain falling, giving Broc new and fun experiences.

Broc just sniffs into these sewer grates, walks over them and sits on them with no problem. My other two dogs fear them like they’ll fall into the center of the earth. This is a very proud moment for me.

Puppies tend to sleep a lot. All they do is eat, play, sleep and potty in between.

Broc swimming at 7 weeks. This is actually his second time swimming. First time I didn’t record ‘cause I was too busy making sure my baby didn’t sink.

Placed a Futon on living room floor with blankets for Broc while I watch TV. But, he climbed onto the ottoman to be near me.

Done his 6 week vaccination already. There will be others coming up soon.

The Pup on the bag sold me. No, but really, I’ve bought this brand before for my other two dogs and it’s done well.

Just got home and gave him a Kong to play with. Figured Broc needed something positive the first few minutes in his new home.

Met the breeder half way. “Broc” is stretching his legs out.

I got the pick of the litter. Had to have a male, show more exploratory drive, more playfulness and that it’s free from congenital flaws.
